"Ambassador Kaluga" is our partner in holding the events of the "Cuisines of the World" project. In particular, it hosted a gastronomic dinner of Peruvian cuisine with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Russia - His Excellency Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez and Israeli cuisine with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation His Excellency Alexander Ben Zvi. On December 25, a French cuisine dinner is scheduled at the hotel.

    The president of the ICWAG in partnership with the Ambassador Hotel Kaluga hosted an evening of French cuisine for Kaluga residents and Muscovites.   • II All-Russian Forum-Festival of Rostourism "Gastronomy tourism - new opportunities" in Ufa

    In the period from December 7 to 11, the President of the ICWAG, L. Gelibterman, took part in the II All-Russian Forum-Festival of Rostourism "Gastronomy tourism - new opportunities" in the city of Ufa. The organizers of the Forum-Festival were: the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism), the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) represented by the Committee for gastronomy tourism headed by L. Gelibterman. The Forum-Festival was attended by representatives of 38 regions of the Russian Federation, from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. L. Gelibterman acted as curator of the business programme of the Forum. The Forum participants discussed, in particular, the Concept for the development of gastronomy tourism in the Russian Federation, prepared by experts from the Committee for gastronomy tourism of the RST.     The president of the ICWAG took part in the XI International Forum "Arctic: Present and Future" in St. Petersburg. On December 2, he acted as a moderator of the round table "Cuisine of the peoples of the Arctic".     On November 25, the Grand Tasting of Portuguese Wines was held at the Baltschug Hotel in Moscow. The International Center of Wine and Gastronomy was its organizer from the Russian side. The event, held in Moscow on the initiative of ViniPortugal, was attended by 33 Portuguese producers who presented more than 300 wines to the attention of wine market professionals from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Kaluga and other cities of Russia.     On November 6, the Ambassador Kaluga Hotel hosted an Israeli cuisine dinner prepared by the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy and the Hotel team. The dinner, cooked by Tel Aviv chef Igal Gorelik, was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation, His Excellency Alexander Ben Zvi. The dinner menu included Ashkenazi and Sephardi cuisine, accompanied by Israeli wines. The dinner was preceded by a meeting between the governor of the Kaluga region and several members of the regional government with the Ambassador of Israel.   • Wines of the Lisbon region in Moscow and St. Petersburg

    On October 19, the five-star National Hotel in Moscow hosted master classes - presentation of wines from the Lisbon region, Portugal. White and red wines of such producers of the Lisbon region as "Casa Santos Lima", "Parras Wines", "Enoport Wines", "Compania Agricola do Sanguinhal", "Adega Cooperativa da Vermelha", "Quinta do Monte d'Oiro" and "Câmara de Oeiras" were presented at two master classes. The International Center of Wine and Gastronomy (ICWAG) under the leadership of L. Gelibterman was the organizer of the master classes on the Russian side; the Portuguese side was presented by the Lisboa Wine Region, headed by its president Mr. Riku. Russian alcohol market professionals and journalists noted the high level of quality of the wines presented and their excellent price-quality ratio. On October 21, the five-star Grand Emerald Hotel hosted a master class on wines from the Lisbon region (Portugal) for alcohol market professionals and journalists from St. Petersburg. The president of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy L. Gelibterman offered to the public seven wines having the categories VRL (regional wines of Lisbon) DOP from several appellations. Portuguese winemakers led by the president of the Lisboa Wine Region, Mr. Riku, took an active part in the tasting online. The wines of the Lisbon region have confirmed their reputation for wines with an excellent price-quality ratio.
