Встреча послов стран АНТКОМ в Москве

19 июля 2017 года в столичном ресторане «Гусятникоff» состоялся деловой ужин послов стран АНТКОМ, посвящённый сохранению уникальных природных ресурсов Арктики и Антарктики. Участниками ужина, организованного при содействии Международного эногастрономического центра, стали дипломаты, политики, представители организаций по защите окружающей среды из 26 стран мира, в том числе 11 послов.

Гостям ужина представилась уникальная возможность ознакомиться с фотоработами знаменитого полярного фотожурналиста Национального Географического Общества (National Geographic Society), обладателя ежегодной премии «Фотограф дикой природы» от компании BBC Пола Никлена (Paul Nicklen).

Деловой ужин АНТКОМ начался с приветственного видео-обращения Альбера II, правящего князя Монако. С речью к присутствующим обратилась Генеральный директор российских изданий National Geographic Татьяна Шалыгина. Она же представила гостям Пола Никлена и Кристину Миттермайер (Cristina Mittermeier), фотографа National Geographic, которые продемонстрировали публике документальный фильм о проблемах защиты окружающей среды в Антарктике. Важность совместной работы по защите окружающей среды в своем выступлении подчеркнул региональный координатор Европейского офиса ЮНЕП (Программы ООН по окружающей среде) Махир Алиев, прилетевший из Женевы.

Вечер продолжился торжественным вручением Полом Никленом специальной награды Вячеславу Фетисову, двукратному Олимпийскому чемпиону, депутату Государственной Думы РФ, за его участие в международном проекте по защите моря Росса. Завершило программу вечера выступление специального представителя Президента России по международному сотрудничеству в Арктике и Антарктике, депутата Государственной Думы РФ Артура Чилингарова.

АНТКОМ — Комиссия по сохранению морских живых ресурсов Антарктики, основанная в 1982 году на основе международной Конвенции по сохранению морских живых ресурсов Антарктики. В настоящее время членами АНТКОМ являются 25 государств, учредивших эту Конвенцию, и ещё 11 стран, присоединившихся к Конвенции позднее.

19 July 2017 in the capital restaurant «Gusyatnikoff» a business dinner for the Ambassadors of the countries-members of CCAMLR, dedicated to preserving the unique natural resources of the Arctic and Antarctic, took place. Participants of the dinner, organized with the support of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy, were diplomats, politicians, representatives of organizations for the environmental protection from 26 countries, including 11 Ambassadors.

Guests of the dinner had the unique opportunity to watch the photographs of famous polar photojournalist of National Geographic Society, the winner of the annual BBC award «Wildlife photographer» Paul Nicklen. Business dinner CCAMLR started with a welcome video message by Albert II, the reigning monarch of the Principality of Monaco. Tatiana Shalygina, Director for Russia Pristine Seas of National Geographic addressed the audience with her speech. Tatiana introduced Paul Nicklen and Cristina Mittermeier, a photographer for National Geografic, who showed the documentary film of National Geographic about the problems of environmental protection in Antarctica. In his speech the regional coordinator of the European office of UNEP (UN Environment programme) Makhir Aliev, who arrived from Geneva, pointed out the importance of the joint working for the environmental protection.

The evening continued with a solemn award by Paul Nicklen to Vyacheslav Fetisov, two-time Olympic champion on ice hockey, the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, for his involvement in an international project to protection of the Ross Sea. Special representative of the President of Russia on international cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Arthur Chilingarov finished the evening programme by his speech.

CCAMLR — Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, was founded in 1982 on the basis of the international Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources. Currently, there are 25 States-members of CCAMLR that founded the Convention, and another 11 countries joined the Convention later.
